I CHECKED HIS PULSE BUT HE DIDN'T HAVE ONE!!! (BY CAMERON ULYSSES)

The chest pains started in 2001. He was just 21 at the time but with not much knowledge on the topic the pains were blamed on “Gas” and other ridiculous reasons.

The symptoms eventually worsened until  he was brought to the Princess Margaret "Hospital" where more time was obviously wasted.

Desperate for answers, he was sent to Martinique where he was diagnosed with Dilated Cardiomyopathy.

(Dilated cardiomyopathy (DCM) is a condition in which the heart's ability to pump blood is decreased because the heart's main pumping chamber, the left ventricle, is enlarged and weakened. In some cases, it prevents the heart from relaxing and filling with blood as it should.)

DCM can be inherited or can be one of the many consequence of an unhealthy lifestyle.

He was sent back home where he received low quality treatment. {For example he was given certain medication that wasn't even being used in other countries anymore and other issues too numerous to mention.}

With his heart failing slowly , his parents had no alternative but to send him to the US where he received a pacemaker-

(A pacemaker is a small device that's placed in the chest or abdomen to help control abnormal heart rhythms. This device uses low-energy electrical pulses to prompt the heart to beat at a normal rate.Pacemakers can relieve some arrhythmia symptoms, such as fatigue (tiredness) and fainting. A pacemaker also can help a person who has abnormal heart rhythms resume a more active lifestyle.)

-Nonetheless his left ventricle continued to fail.
For this reason he was placed on the waiting list for a heart transplant.
In the meantime it was necessary  that he received a LVad to keep him alive while waiting for that new heart.

(A VAD is a mechanical device that’s surgically implanted into the patient’s chest to augment cardiac output, or the ability to pump blood. VADs can be used as a “bridge to transplant” or as “destination therapy.” The compact size and portability of VADs affords patients the opportunity to be discharged from the hospital and have an improved survival and quality of life.
VADs are used as a bridge to transplant in patients who meet the qualifications for cardiac transplantation but need temporary support to survive their condition until a suitable heart donor becomes available)

So what would happen if you checked his pulse ? you wont find one,but a murmuring sound can be heard from the machine. Also metal scanners at airports etc are not his best of friends. Moreover infections can occur at the point where the connector enters the body and the list goes on.

HE is my brother, half man, half machine ? just an average life of a guy with a non communicable disease.

  1. I was able to overcome senile dementia via a complete naturopathic process.

About two years ago, when I was 56, I started feeling foggy and had occasional memory lapses. My wife, Mary, started to notice it, too, but I also have hearing issues so she thought that was the problem. My memory worsened very gradually over the years, and we lived with it, compensating as needed. I became less social. After some months thereafter, it got to the point where we couldn’t keep making excuses or ignoring it. I had gone from doing our grocery shopping without a list to going with a list, to having the list but not buying what was on it.

Mary went online to do some research, and it was during this process we had been fortunate enough to come across Dr. Utu Herbal Cure: an African herbalist and witch doctor whose professional works had majored on the eradication of certain viral conditions, especially dementia, ( improving the memory capacity positively), via a traditional, naturopathic process and distinguished diet plan. It was by the administration of this herbal specialist that I had been able to improve my condition for better. So to say, the encounter with the above-mentioned herbal practitioner was the first time we ever heard there was something that possibly can be done to improve my memory functionality.

By the existence of such an encounter, I was able to learn of the new approach by which this herbalist successfully treated dementia conditions, which included a distinguished herbal therapy and lifestyle changes of which I had undergone to a tremendous, positive effect.
It was after the completion of the herbal therapy I had started to experience a great deal of cognitive improvement when it came to rational decision making.

In brief, I was able to go through the dreadful hollows of senile dementia without any further hazardous damage to my health condition, and within a short period. Had it not been for the support of my wife, of whom had encouraged me to undergo the above-mentioned therapy and that of the herbal practitioner of whom now happens to be benefactor - I would have been long exposed to the further perils of this condition and of which had been apt to result to a calamitous end.

I would also wish for the same positiveness upon patients who may happen to be suffering from this debilitating disease, and would warmly beseech them to find a confidant like this herbal specialist with whose professional service I was able to accomplish a divine recovery.
